Russian Fudge Recipe

RUSSIAN FUDGE


What You Need

3 cups sugar

Half cup milk

Half a cup sweetened condensed milk

125g butter

1 tablespoon golden syrup

Pinch of salt


Method

  1. Put sugar and milk in a saucepan
  2. Heat gently, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves.
  3. Add condensed milk, butter, salt and golden syrup.
  4. Stir until the butter has melted.
  5. Bring to the boil and continue boiling to the soft ball stage, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
  6. Remove from heat.
  7. Cool slightly.
  8. Beat until thick. Vanilla essence or chopped nuts may be added to fudge before beating if desired.
  9. Pour into a buttered tin.

10. Cut in squares when set.
