Kim's...

2010 In Review
Your first day at a new school is always nerve wracking. You don’t really know anybody apart from the people from your old school, and you don’t really know them that well after around nine weeks away from them. This is my 2010 year in review; New school, new teacher, new class, new experience’s...

The first day of school was the third of February, also my sisters birthday. My name was announced in the first class called. My teacher is Mr Crowhurst. When we got to room 28, we took the roll and then Mr Crowhurst told us a little about himself. The first day flew by. It felt like a very short term. We just got the hang of things and it was kinda an ordinary term. We had a couple of trips: One to Parnell Pools and to Loyd Elsmore Pools. It was awesome!

Term 2 was just like term 1, except for camp, a change to winter uniform, and different technology classes. So it wasn’t really like term 1 at all. Camp was in the third week of term and we went with Syndicate D. I feel like i really pushed myself at camp. I even faced one of my biggest fears, heights, doing so with the High Ropes challenge. It was a tough week at camp, but I think it was worth it. When we got back from camp, we went straight back to our normal school work. By that time, SIS had gone into winter uniform, which is no different to the summer uniform except you wear shoes and socks, instead of sandals. My tech group’s tech class was Music for around five weeks. Then we changed to Dance and Drama. Those were to of the best tech classes for me. Term 2 came and went, and by the time I was used to our routine, the term was over.

Term 3 was an ordinary term. We were still in winter uniform. We had two different tech classes. Ordinary.
On the first day back we were all still in holiday mode, on a high from our time away. Room 28 quickly got back into our routine, and remembered what was expected of us. Our tech classes that term were really fun and I am looking forward to choosing my technology classes for year eight. i think term three was a great term and lots of fun!

At the beginning of term four, we were all a bit crazy. Friends were happy to see each other and maybe, just maybe, they were happy to be back at school...
My tech group just finished our first tech class and we are about to start our last tech for the year. 2010 has been a great year for me. I have had many great experiences. Room 28 has become like a second home for me. I no longer worry about finding class in the morning and after Morning Tea and Lunch. I have made some really great friends that are AWESOME!!!!! I know the SIS grounds like the back of my hand and never have to worry about getting lost.
Thank you so much! 2010 has been a great year!
